Gregory Winbush, Founder, CEO. of non-profit organization Winbush Enterprise Inc, aims to assists adult male and female restored citizens in identifying the common barriers they face upon release and re-entry into society. Mr. Winbush once incarcerated himself knows the struggle of re-entry into this fast-paced society for someone with a criminal past, however, he was granted a full pardon by Governor Ted Strickland on January 7, 2011. He gained a wealth of knowledge during his employment with Columbus Recreation Parks as a Community Outreach Specialist. His past positions include Special Assistant/ Community Relations to Columbus Mayor, Michael B. Coleman, Restoration Academy/ Community Outreach Coordinator for COWIC, Drug and Alcohol Counselor at Maryhaven, Job Development/Employment Specialist for CMACAO, and Client Services Coordinator for EX-offenders while at Community Connection.
Mr. Winbush holds an associate in Arts and a bachelor’s degree in Specialized Studies from Ohio University. He is a member of the NAACP Criminal Justice Committee, New Salem Missionary Baptist Church Prison Ministry, African American Male Wellness Initiative and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio.
His success and knowledge of the clemency pardon process allow him to guide people through the steps at a chance of obtaining a pardon for themselves.
